Hermann Gustav Goetz

Goetz, Hermann Gustav (1840-1876). German composer and organist. Studied music as a dilettante while at Königsberg University, but later attended the Stern Conservatoire in Berlin. In 1863 became organist in Winterthur, Switzerland, and in 1867 settled in Zurich. His compositions span a wide range of genres from opera and church music to instrumental music, chamber music and songs, partsongs and choruses.
