Josef Lev

Lev, Josef (1832-1898). Czech baritone singer. Early training as a chorister in Zlonice and then in Prague. From 1854 member of the chorus of the Vienna Court Opera. He returned to Prague appearing first in the Czech Provisional Theatre in a major rôle in 1864, and continued activity in the city in between trips abroad.
