Hubert Léonard

Léonard, Hubert (1819-1890). Belgian violinist. Studied violin at the Paris Conservatoire under Habeneck. Toured Germany in the middle 1840s and later became professor of violin at the Brussels Conservatory. Retired to Paris in 1867. Composer of many virtuoso and salon pieces for violin.
