Antonín Hošek

Hošek, Antonín (1840-1887). Czech teacher and composer. Studied in Kroměříž and later in Vienna before working in Olomouc (from 1867) and Chrudim (from 1871). Composed vernacular vocal works. His song Holka z mlýna [an arrangement of the song Dívka z mlejna by Rosenkranc] gained widespread popularity during the middle nineteenth century.
