Friedrich Wilhelm Kücken
Kücken, Friedrich Wilhelm (1810-1882). German conductor and composer. After early career as a musician in the ducal orchestra in Schwerin he began to compose songs, many of which gained enormous popularity and some of which were confused with German folksongs. In 1851 he became conductor to the court in Stuttgart. Besides songs his compositional output also included operas and some instrumental works.
