Peter Joseph von Lindpaintner

Lindpaintner, Peter Joseph von (1791-1856). German composer and conductor. Studied at Augsberg and Munich, where in 1812 he obtained his first post as conductor of a local theatre. In 1819 moved to Stuttgart as conductor there of the royal orchestra.  Works include many operas, incidental music and ballet, a large body of church music, orchestral and chamber music and songs.
