Commentary:
Tyrolese Singers. Group of alpine singers from the Tirol, founded by the brothers Meister and touring Europe in the 1840s and 1850s. During the later 1850s their personnel changed; Tagesbote aus Böhmen 28/5/1857, 30/5/1857 and 1/6/1857 relayed news of their appearance in Prague and noting their members as Peter Meister, J. Meickl, J. Fixler, L. Gritsch and Persler.
