Mercy’s Anzeiger 22/8/1854 reported that on 21st August elections to the Franciscan Order had taken place in the Franciscan Monastary. This event was noted to take place every three years. A solemn high mass was therefore celebrated on that day at 6am, comprising an unspecified Mass setting by [Robert] Führer conducted by the chorus director ‘Mayer’, most likely the then established Prague conducter and composer J.N. Maýr who held a series of music director positions at several Prague sacred institutions.
