A brief account of the event, signed ‘–g–’ was published by Prager Morgenpost 21/12/1863. The correspondent reported: ‘The Beethoven Festival of the Singing Society
„Arion“ took place yesterday, the 20th, in the Society locale. Mr Oberländer opened the celebration with a pertinent Prologue, whereupon a Trio in C minor was performed by Messrs Professor Wagner, Knína and Poznansky. Immediately after the male-voice choir sang a Lied: Hymne an die Nacht“ by Beethoven. Mrs Prochaska [Schmidt-Procházková] participated.
