komentář:

Prager Morgenpost 28/10/1863 published news of the arrival back in Prague of the Emperor Ferdinand on 27/10/1863 following his annual summer sojourn at his country retreat at Ploškovice. The source reported of events the previous evening that: ‘Yesterday evening at 8 o’clock for the Festival of the Arrival of His Majesty, all of the military music ensembles garrisoned in Prague performed a musical Serenade with a torchlight procession in the first courtyard of the Imperial Castle on Hradschin.’ The ‘Infantry Regiment of the Prince of Prussia [des Infanterie-Regimentes Prinz von Preußen]’ almost certainly referred to the ensemble of the Royal Infantry Regiment of King Wilhelm I of Prussian, which was then stationed and active in Prague.
