Prager Morgenpost 7/1/1863 reported that ‘The increasing conviviality of the Deutsche Casino has been enhanced not a little by the Liedertafel that it [the Casino] has assembled. Yesterday evening this Liedertafel arranged an entertainment. Messrs Baumgarten, Becker, Popper and director Sperk gave several German Lieder that found general applause.’
