Národní listy 2/1/1863 reported in its section of daily news that the ‘Committee of the Civic Society [Měšťanská beseda] arranges again for its members during this year’s Carnival three entertainments in the [locality of the] Civic Society, specifically on 12th, 20th and 27th January. Playing will be the orchestra of Sokol. The musical trial takes places on 5th January, also at the Society [venue]. Preparations for the trial are already being assiduously executed.’
