Commentary:

Čas 24/7/1861 reported that ‘This evening takes place on Střelecký Island a declamatory, singing and dance beseda to benefit the Tyl family.’ The participating soloists and the programme was then listed in performance order. Between the first and third musical items Mr Přerhof gave a humorous reading, and a declamation following the work by Klepš. Čas 28/7/1861 published news that the event had in all respects been a success. The performance of the concert pieces were entirely praiseworthy, and the dance beseda continued into the early morning. The clear profit amounted to 45zl.
