Prague Concert Life 1850-1881

Champion, mentor, advisor, ever-listening and patient friend - without the inspiration, steadfast support and kind generosity of the late Professor John Tyrrell, this resource would not exist today.

A pioneering research resource, providing fully searchable records (in English) of cultural events incorporating music performance in Prague from 1850 to 1881 - The database covers all types of music excepting music theatre. It is an open resource freely available to the specialist academic community and to all those interested in Czech nineteenth-century music, history and culture.

Currently we hold records of 6082 music performance events, spanning 253 venues and encompassing some 268 societies and institutions and 1825 individuals.
