Adrien François Servais

Servais, Adrien François (1807-1866). Belgian violoncellist and composer. Studied at the Brussels Conservatoire, after which he visited Paris and London and then toured extensively throughout Europe. Became Professor of Violoncello at the Conservatoire in Brussels in 1848. Composed many works for his instrument, including 6 concerti.
