Commentary:

The Národní listy 1/11/1862 advertisement announcing this event noted its date, time, venue, particpating ensemble and conductor but did not provide any details of the programme. Admission was to cost 15kr. The ‘Denní zprávy’ (Daily news) section of the same issue noted that the ‘First concert of a military band in the new season will take place today in the Konvikt Hall.’

Prager Morgenpost 31/10/1862 reported: ‘Military concert [Militärkonzert]. In the Konvikt Hall takes place tomorrow the first great Military Concert of the large String Orchestra of the Royal Infantry Regiment of King Wilhelm I of Prussia.’ An advertisement was published by this newspaper on 1/11/1862. This announced:
