Commentary:

News of this event, originally to have taken place on 30/3/1862, was published by Prager Morgenpost 6/4/1862. The report, titled ‘Garden Festival [Gartenfest]’, related that ‘The Spring-excursion and concert of the military music ensemble of the honourable Royal Infantry Regiment of Count Gyulai, which had to be postponed due to bad weather, takes place today.’ An advertisement was also published in this issue of the newspaper giving the same details, noting in addition that the ensemble was to be directed by Kapellmeister Mr Haniel and admission cost 10kr.
