Čas 1/11/1861 reported that yesterday at 11a, took place in the chapel of St Michael in the St Francis church a solemn Requiem for the late Mrs Leokadia Smolková, wife of Dr František Smolka, member of the Imperial Congress. The service was taken by Father Řezáč with numerous assistants. During the mass a male-voice chorus performed, in which among others participated Messrs J.N. Maýr, Lukes and Peták. Among the congregation was Fr. Palacký, Jan Purkyně, Imperial counsellors Dr Brauner, Dr Prachenský, Professor Zelený and the school director Wenzig, editors of all Czech periodicals, writers, members of the Měš
ťanská beseda and students of all disciplines.
