The Vergnügungsanzeiger of Mercy’s Anzeiger 5/3/1857 reported ‘Today Thursday... Hopfenstock: Song-soirée [Gesangssoirée].’ In the same issue of the newspaper appeared a simple advertisement, reading: ‘Today Thursday the favourite Song-garlands [Gesang-Kränzchen] in the Guest house at 3 Carps.’ No further details were given by these sources.
