News of this event appeared in an advertisement published in Mercy’s Anzeiger 4/2/1854 and repeated on 5th, 7th and 8th February. The source announced that ‘Next to the Horse Market on the Bastion in Schubert’s venue will take place next Tuesday, 8th February, a Dance Entertainment, for which Josef Schubert, host, extends courteous invitations.’ Schubert was evidently the owner and restaurateur of the venue.
