Commentary:

Tagesbote aus Böhmen 15/1/1854 published news that during the Carnival season Mr Feigert would present five [dance-]reunions in the Konvikt Hall on 24th and 31st January, and on 7th, 14th and 21st February. The events were thought to be particularly interesting on account of the entrepreneur arranging at each occasion a national dance in costume, as well as producing his own contredanse La Madrilena.

Mercy’s Anzeiger 12/2/1854 published an advertisement for this event announcing:

‘By general demand!
During the rest hour [Raststunde - interval]
Dance-Divertissement
in two parts.
Feigert’s
last Dance-Reunion
Tuesday 14th February 1854
in the
Konvikt Hall.
Part 1. “La Madrilena” danced by Friederike, “El Ole” danced by Marie Feigert in costume.
Part 2. A comic National Polka [Eine komische National-Polka].’

No further details of the event were given by the source.
The advertisement was published again by the newspaper on 14/2/1854, with the text adding that the venue would be artistically and brilliantly decorated for the occasion.
