Advance notice of this event was published in the Lokalzeitung section of Bohemia 18/11/1851. The report noted only that on 24th November there would take place in the Konvikt Hall a Ball for the benefit of the construction of a Czech National Theatre in Prague. Details of the event, its date and venue, were published in the Tagesanzeiger texts of Bohemia 23/11/1851 and 25/11/1851.
Lumír 20/11/1851 also published news that the innkeeper Bendl was arranging in the Konvikt Hall a magnificent ball, the profit from which would be donated to the fund for the building of a Czech National Theatre.
