Advance news of the intention of the Prague Civil Grenadiers Corps to give six dance reunions during the forthcoming carnival season was published by Bohemia 15/12/1850. This report specified that they would take place on 16th, 23rd, 30th January and on 6th, 13th and 26th February. A musical trial would be given in advance of the reunions on 5/1/1851 in the Konvikt Hall. Although this text did not specify the venue for the reunions themselves, the events were apparently noted by mistake in three later issues of Bohemia on 12th, 14th and 16th January as to be taking place in the Apollo Hall. This was announced and corrected by a notice published by the committee of the Grenadiers in Bohemia 19/1/1851 announcing that the reunions would actually occur in the Konvikt Hall. The erroneous sources cited were the Tagesanzeiger texts of Bohemia 14/1/1851 and 16/1/1851. However, no news of these events appeared in Bohemia 12/1/1851, despite the indication of the above notice.
The date and venue of the reunion given on 6th February was given in the Tagesanzeiger texts of Bohemia 4/2/1851 and 6/2/1851.
Bohemia 15/12/1850 also published a personal notice from the Prague dance master ‘Mar. Růžička’ refuting allegations that his appointment as dance director to the forthcoming reunions to be given by the Civil Grenadiers Corps had been obtained by fraud and by begging the dance committee. These rumours had according to this notice been propagated by the contemporary dance master Tolde.
