Commentary:

The Prager Morgenpost 2/10/1858 advertisement, posted by the proprietor of the Apollo Hall, Johann Stuchlý, announced that a dance entertainment [called a ‘Fest-Reunion’] and a musical entertainment, a ‘Harmonie-Musik’, would be given as part of the Jewish Temple Festival. The former took place in the Apollo Hall and the latter was noted as occuring in the garden of the venue. Admission to the events commenced at 4pm. The Prager Morgenpost advertisement drew attention to the participation of the dance-master Franz Hess.

The Tageskalendar published in Bohemia 2/10/1858 noted only that Walesch’s orchestra was playing in a dance entertainment at the Apollo Hall on this day. Whether these performers also provided the ensemble for the Harmoniemusik is not specified.
