News of this event was published by the Prague German-language newspaper Tagesbote aus Böhmen 16/1/1858. A report appearing in the issues Daily News noted: ‘The Musical trial to the Society Ball [Gesellschaftsballe], which is arranged by Mr von Ottenkron on 2nd February for the benefit of the Hradčany Blind Institute, takes place tomorrow 17th January at 4.30pm in the Hall of the Žofín Island.’
