Commentary:

Prager Morgenpost 30/12/1858 published news of this series of Dance-Garlands continuing during the Carnival period and being given in the Konvikt Hall each Thursday on 13, 20, 27 January and 3, 10, 17 and 24 February. The series would end with a Festival Ball. The text noted the participation of the ensemble of Wernhardt under the direction of its Kapellmeister L. Jeschko [Ludevít Ješko].

An advertisement for these ‘Tanz-Kränzchen [Dance Garlands] that was published in both Prager Morgenpost 12/1/1859 and 13/1/1859 listed the dates of the events in this series as well as the admission prices. For the whole series an entry ticket cose 2fl 60kr in new Austrian currency. Admission to a single producion cost 50kr in advance or 70kr at the door. The prices of an advance ticket for the whole series and for tickets available at the door were also published in an advertisement appearing in Prager Morgenpost 20/1/1859.

An advertisement specifically for the fourth entertainment in this series appeared in Prager Morgenpost 2/2/1859 and was repeated on 3/2/1859. This contained no information as to the content of the event, but gave details of where to purchase tickets for the occasion as well as noting with more striking bold type that gentlemen were requested to wear black.
