Tagesbote aus Böhmen 29/7/1857 published brief news of this event, reporting: ‘The season of annual musical examinations of the many Prague musical institutes commenced on 23rd of this month with the youngest of them, namely that of Mr Ignaz Jellínek [Jelínek]. For a first public production the programme at once made a very favourable impression, and the satisfaction of the audience was all the greater for the young students the individual numbers of the programme with accuracy and fire.’ No further details of the occasion were given by the source.
