Commentary:

Prager Morgenpost 30/12/1863 reported that the Žofín Island Hall was to have been made available free of charge to the young pianist Eduard Gerstberger for the purpose of holding a benefit concert in aid of the Italian Orphans Institute. The event was first scheduled for 30th December, but had had to be postponed due to the Hall being needed for the state elections, and then for 10th January but could then not be held on that date due to to a musical rehearsal being booked at the venue. The benefit concert was therefore to be held on 13/2/1864. The election was being held for choosing a deputy to represent the Prague New Town constituency.
