The Tagesanzeiger daily almanac of Prague social musical events published by Prager Morgenpost 9/8/1863 announced this event, noting: ‘Garden concert [Gartenconcert] on the Rohan Island.’ This issue of the newspaper also contained an advertisement for the event, which was combined with a contest between two aeronauts in balloon ascents each aiming to travel higher than the other. The source related: ‘Rohan Island. Today a great duel between 2Aeronauts, the prize being awarded to he whose balloon reaches the highest altitude.
