An advertisement announcing multifarious entertainments taking place on Rohan Island on 2/8/1863 was published by Prager Morgenpost 2/8/1863. The source related: ‘Rohan Island. Today the greatest of Spectacles [‘Schauspiel’, translated as ‘spectacles’ but in this context also suggesting ‘play’], as up to now demanded from the sphere of aerostatics and pyrotechnics, namely Don Juan, the Rake’s Punishment [Don Juan, der bestrafte Wüstling] and his abominable end, which begins with at twilight. From 4 o’clock the ascent of a Travel-Balloon [‘Riesen-Ballons’ i.e. a manned balloon] and Concert of the Regimental Ensemble of the worthy Royal Infantry Regiment Archduke Sigismund. Commencing 4 o’clock.’
