Commentary:

Národní listy 11/1/1863 published an advertisement announcing: ‘Inn „At the City of Jerusalem.“ On Tuesday 13th January 1863 first dance entertainment [první taneční zábava], at the courteous invitation of Antonín Menzl, innkeeper.’ The advertisement was repeated on 12/1/1863. A more elaborate advertisement specifying the participating musical ensemble, the time of the event and cost of admission, was published by Národní listy 13/1/1863:

Hostelry [Hostinec]
„At the City of Jerusalem.“
Today and each Tuesday
Dance entertainment. [taneční zábava]
Dance music performed by
JANÁK’S ORCHESTRA
Commencing always at 8pm.     Ending after midnight.
Admission 50kr.
At the most courteous invitation of  Antonín Menzl, innkeeper.
