Národní listy 22/2/1863 published news that regular concerts were to be given by the orchestra of the Infantry Regiment of the King of Prussia during Lent: ‘Lenten entertainments [Postní zábavy]. For the whole of Lent musical entertainment will take place in the Konvikt Hall each Sunday and holiday, in which will participate the well-known orchestra of the Royal Infantry Regiment of the King of Prussia Vilém I...’

27/2/1863 published advance news of this event, noting: ‘
Production. [Produktion] The day after tomorrow takes place in the Konvikt Hall a great Double-Amusement [Doppel Amusement]. At this there will be participating, besides the great String Orchestra of the Royal Infantry Regiment of King Wilhelm I. of Prussia, also for the first time [in Prague] Mr Stefano Arlotto, Contortionist [Kautschuckmann – literally, ‘Rubber man’] from the Convent-Circus [Konvent-Zirkus] in London, in the company of the Juggler Mr N. Giliom from the Cassino des arts in Paris. Both gentlemen have delighted in great approbation through with their amazing artistic feats in the great cities of Europe and granted the honour of performing before His Majesty the Emperor Alexander of Russia and the Great Count Constantine [Konstantin].’ No further details were given by this source.

An elaborate advertisment announcing the event was published by Prager Morgenpost 1/3/1863. Utilizing a whole variety of different font sizes and effects, the source related: ‘Konvikt Hall. Today great Double Amusement [Doppel-Amussement], consisting of Music, gymnastic-acrobatic art. First appearance of the Rubber-man [Kautschuckmannes] Mr Stefano Arlotto from the Convent-Circus in London, and of the Juggler Mr N. Giliom from the Cassino of Arts in Paris. Before the beginning of the gymnastic-acrobatic production: Concert of the great String Orchestra of the esteemed Royal Infantry Regiment of King Wilhelm I of Prussia under the personal direction of the Kapellmeister Mr Lewengly. Commencing 6pm. Admission 20kr.’

A similar advertisement in the Czech language appeared in Národní listy 1/3/1863:
‘Konvikt Hall. Today on Sunday great Double Entertainment [dvojnás. zábava], specifically music, then performance of acrobatics. Participating will be the great String Orchestra of the Royal Infantry Regiment of Prussian King Vilém I personally directed by Kapelník Mr Lewengly. First appearance of the „Rubber Man“ [mužicka kaučukového] Mr Štěpán Arlotta from the London Circus in Covent Garden, then juggler Mr Giollion from the artistic society in London. Commencing 6pm. Admission 20kr.’

Prager Morgenpost 8/3/1863 reported that the performance given by the ‘Kautschukmann Mr St. Arlotto’ had been such a success that the leaseholder [Pächter] of the hall had organized another performance on 8/3/1863.
