Národní listy 19/1/1863 reported that ‘Social dance ball to benefit the Private Institute for the Education and Well-being of Poor Blind Children will take place on 2nd February in Žofín Hall. It may be expected that in view of the good cause the attendance will be substantial.’

1/1/1863 published news of this event, reporting that on 2nd February a Ball would be given in the Žofín Island Hall for the benefit of the Private Institute for the Education and Well-being of Poor Blind Children. The source noted that no less than 1213 blind individuals had passed through this Institute. No further details of the event were given.
