Prager Morgenpost 1/1/1863 reported of this event: ‘Ball. The dance master Mr Gorski [Górski] during the coming Carnival arranges a Ball, which will take place on 27th January in the Žofín Island Hall. The musical trial for the same takes place on 4th January at 4pm.’ An advertisement was published by this newspaper on 4/1/1863:

‘In the Hall of
the Žofín Island
Today, Sunday 4th January,
Musical Trial to the Society Ball, [Gesellshafts-Balle]
arranged on 21st of January in the same Hall by the dance teacher
Max Gorski,
at which the Ensemble of the Kapellmeister
K A R L K O M Z A K
will bring for performance the newest music pieces.
Commencing 4 o’clock Admission 20 kr.’
