Lumír 23/3/1854 reported that these choruses would be published by the widow of the Prague publisher Jan Hoffmann ‘perhaps at the beginning of June’. The 34 Passion choruses for 4 voices were dedicated to Louis Spohr and were published in score in two volumes. The reporter, signed ‘D.’, noted that the works would be welcomed by choral directors and church musicians as well as by friends of church music.
