Schary’s Inn. Hostelry of J.M. Schary, Successful middle-nineteenth-century Prague publican and brewer. Located in Charles’s Square [Karlovo náměstí / Karlsplatz]. Venue for social musical entertainments. The venue, at least from 1863 – an advertisement in Prager Morgenpost 13/5/1863 noting a social musical event taking place outside at the venue – evidently incorporated a garden. By the end of September in that year musical entertainments at that venue moved back inside, advertisements often noting that such events took place in the hall.
