Onslow, André Georges Louis (1784-1853). French composer of English descent. Aristocratic background and spent most of his life as a country gentleman in France, and as an accomplished quasi-professional composer. His output ranged from operas, through orchestral music to piano works and songs, although his greatest accomplishment was his substantial body of chamber music.
