Frömter, František (1811-1894). Czech pianist, piano teacher and composer. Early provincial education, settling in Prague in 1847 where he remained for the rest of his life. Taught piano at the Institute of Josef Proksch and on 4/2/1851 gained official permission to open his own successful piano school. Frömter was also active as a composer of piano works, songs and some chamber music.
