Gordigiani, L. Unidentified composer. Probably, Gordigiani, Giovanni Battista (1795-1871), Italian composer and singing teacher working at the Prague Conservatory. Bohemia 19/2/1850 reported that ‘Professor Gordigiani has composed an interestting opera Scrivano publico to his own libretto, which has been received with great sympathy amongst familiar circles [presumably amongst a private circle of colleagues and friends].’ The opera was said to be for three persons and cast in 2 acts. Mrs Botschon-Soukupová was noted as taking the role of the character Teresina.
