Robert Johann Nepomuk Fuehrer

Führer, Robert Jan Nepomuk (1807-1861). Organist and church music composer. Educated by J.N. Vitásek. One of the first teachers at the Prague Organ School. Organist at the cathedral church of St Vitus from 1826. Gained international reputation both as an organist and as a composer of church music and travelled widely through Europe. His output numbers over 100 masses and many graduales, offertoria, requiem masses and psalms. Also composed secular songs, choruses and organ works.
