Wilhelm Berhard
Molique, Wilhelm Bernhard (1802-1869). German violinist and composer. Pupil of Spohr, violinist in the orchestra of the Theater an der Wien in Vienna. After success as a travelling virtuoso he resided in Stuttgart (1826), then London (1849) and returned to his homeland in 1866. In addition to effective virtuoso works for his own instrument Molique also composed sacred vocal music, including a substantial oratorio Abraham.
