Mercy’s Anzeiger 12/3/1857 reported that ‘Monday 16th March takes place the second musical-declamatory Soirée in the venue of the Civic Society [Bürgerressource].’ An advertisement printed in both Czech and German then appeared in Mercy’s Anzeiger 14/3/1857 announcing that ‘Monday 16th March will be in the Civic Society an evening entertainment [večerní zábava / Abend-Unterhaltung]. Wives of Society members are invited to participate. Commencing 7 o’clock.’ This advertisement was repeated in the newspaper on 15/3/1857.

A brief review, signed ‘§’, was published by Mercy’s Anzeiger 18/3/1857. The correspondent reported that ‘The second musical-declamatory soirée given the day before last in the venue of the Bürgerressource was as numerous in its attendance as the first, and the entertainment was very animated.’ The text also noted that the third and last of these entertainments would take place on 30th March.
