Kommentar:

News appeared in identical reports published in Prager Morgenpost 13/10/1858 and Der Tagesbote 13/10/1858 announcing that the nineteenth year of activity of the Cecilia Society was beginning in October with weekly rehearsals for members of the choir and orchestra commencing on 14 and 18 October respectively and continuing each subsequent week at the same time of 6pm. The Society’s concert season would begin with Schumann’s ‘highly poetic’ composition Der Rose Pilgerfahrt. The advertisement ended by inviting dilettante singers and string players to join the Society’s choir or orchestra.

Bohemia 13/10/1858 published the same news, in a slightly more condensed and truncated form although of similar wording, of the Cecilia Society’s new season and impending rehearsals. According to the Dalibor 2/12/1858 review of the performance of Der Rose Pilgerfahrt on 27/11/1858 a Czech translation of the libretto was published, presumably for the benefit of Czech speakers in the audience. The German newspapers published on 13/10/1858 did not relate any such information.
