Bohemia 1/10/1861 reported that ‘(The Autumn Besedas) take place now in the newly refurbished Konvikt Hall on 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th October, then on 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th November. At the start of each Beseda [will be a] concert; arranged by Kapellmeister Mr Mayr [Maýr], followed by dances.
The programme to this sixth beseda is reproduced in order corresponding with the description of the beseda in the Národní listy 5/11/1861 report. Beginning the programme was an extract of a ‘Czech chronicle before and after the flooding of the world, made into verse by V.A. Crha for a beseda reading, and performed by Mr Šamberg, member of the Czech Theatre.’ The ‘Duetto’ was played by the daughters of Jan Weber, a violinist in the Estates Theatre (and later in the Provisional Theatre) orchestra.
