News of this event appeared in advertisements published in Národní listy for a series of dance entertainments and a ball arranged by the orchestra of the Prague Sharpshooters Corps. The text was published four times by the newspaper, on 9/1, 11/1, 14/1 and 16/1/1861. The text noted that ʻTickets for gentlemen to the dance entertainments as well as to the ball arranged by the band of the Sharpshooters on 17th, 24th and 31st January, then on 11th February 1861 at Žofín, are possible to obtain everyday from the offices of the Sharpshooters, no.404-I.’
