Mercy’s Anzeiger 17/2/1857 published an advertisement announcing: ‘Invitation to thesecond Jewish Society-ball [Israelitischen Gesellschaftsballe], which on general demand will be given on Wednesday 18th February 1857 in the Hall at the City of Leipzig in Karolinenthal [Karlín]. Commences 7 o’clock. Ends following morning. The Committee.’ The advertisement was repeated in the newspaper on 18/2/1857.
