A brief review, unsigned, of the Shooters Reunion [Schützenreunion] given on 5th in the Žofín Hall was published by Mercy’s Anzeiger 7/2/1857. The source described in detail the decoration of the venue, noted the attendance of the Bohemia Governor Baron von Wecséry, the Commandant Count Clam-Gallas, and the Mayor of Prague, Dr Wanka. Of the musical content of the occasion, the text related that ‘The performance of the most tasteful compositions, through the reorganized ensemble of the Sharpshooters Corps, was perfectly successful.’ No further details of the event were given by the source, news of which was not posted in the newspaper on 5th February. The musical ensemble of the Sharpshooters Corps had recently been reorganized by Karel Komzák who probably directed its performance on this occasion.
