Also a Policinell-Theatre was be presented. In the evening the hall at the venue would be brightened with banners [Abends wird der Saal mit Transparenten erleuchtet].’

Mercy’s Anzeiger 9/5/1854 reported that ‘The Praterfest given in the Station Garden on Sunday was exceedingly successful. It was attended by over 3000 people. Mr Tschuggmall’s Winterlandscape, Mr Hein’s automatons gained great approbration, and the magician Mr Reiter was very warmly applauded for his part. We particularly liked the artistic piece “Die schlafende Griechin”.
