Commentary:

Prager Morgenpost 14/3/1863 reported this forthcoming event in its section of daily Prague news, noting: ‘Church music. Tomorrow on the fourth Sunday of Lent is being performed in the Church of the Knights of the cross at 9am Tuma’s Lenten Mass [Fastenmesse] in E minor, with interpolations by M. Haydn and Naumann [Neumann?].’ No further details were given by this source. The music would almost certainly have been directed by Josef Krejčí, then the Kapellmeister of this important Prague church.
