Prager Morgenpost 16/8/1863 published news of this event, which had taken place the previous day. The source related: ‘Secundizfeier. Early yesterday there was to be found a numerous crowd at Strahov, at the Secundizfeier [Festival marking the anniversary of an ordination] of the High Reverend Abbot Dr Hieronymous Zeidler. To the celebrate the commemorative church service all the members of the Premonstratensian Order were attired in festival dress. The Royal Warranted Sharpshooters Corps... paraded with its musical ensemble, providing a Guard of Honour for the High Reverend Jubilar [Jubilar – lit. person celebrating an anniversary or birthday]. The Civil Grenadier Corps was represented by its Major and its officers, The High Reverend Abbot Dr Hieronymous Zeidler arrived to the assembled clergy and a celebratory peal of bells in the church. Young girls gressed in white strewed the path with flowers. The aged prelate walked between the Abbots from Teplá and Senozaty [Selau], who had especially come here for this festival.’ No details of the musical content of the occasion, neither the parade nor the church service were related by the source.
